Material: Aluminum 6061-T6, Ultra-Strength Carbon Fiber Matrix (U.S.A. Produced)
Models: all ALIGN TREX 550 and 600 series, Gaui X5, Outrage Fusion/Velocity 50, and other high-performance 550/600-class Electric and 30/50-class Nitro series helicopters.  See Design Geometry Diagram for overall dimensions and installation reference for adaptability into other brands and series. Design utilizes M3 mounting holes and identical length to the ALIGN TREX 600 series tail boom supports (replacement for stock Align part #H60055A).

Note: the KDE Direct 550/600 Series Performance Boom Support Assembly encompasses a series of specialized design features targeted at preventing the problematic loosening and resultant failure (telescoping) of the critical Tail Boom Support of the 550/600-class Electric and 30/50-class Nitro helicopters.  Due to the caustic and high-frequency vibration environment of RC helicopters, these upgrades are a necessary enhancement to maintain the structural integrity and performance of the helicopter tail mechanics and control.  The Boom Support Assemblies are produced and assembled 100% in the U.S.A.; including the highest-quality, ultra-strength carbon fiber tubes manufactured in the U.S.A. to yield high-stiffness and lightweight characteristics.

Important:  the Performance Boom Support Assembly utilizes the best materials and bonding methods to produce the optimum setup available on the market.  The assemblies utilize 700/800-class (6.1mm O.D.), high-carbon content carbon-fiber tubes for high stiffness,
ultimate strength, and minor weight addition.  No central crossbraces will be required for the ultimate in tail control and authority.

Due to the extra length of the supports when using on the 550-class Electric and 30-class Nitro series helicopters, the stock horizontal tail fin cannot be used as interference with the
tail blades will occur.  In this regard, remove the horizontal tail fin for proper installation and flight characteristics of 3D flight.

The Boom Supports are fully-assembled at our production facility.  Due to the high-strength epoxies used, the Boom Supports cannot be disassembled without excessive damage to the components.
